Catch Up & Poppy & Gigi's

I am way behind. No surprise. There will be lots of pictures in today's post so beware.

Friday night I had my monthly Spazmatics date with Lynette. This time we dressed up and it was my favorite show to date.
We had a great time and got another picture with our favorite Spaz Joey!

Cameran's roommate from our Freshman year at TAMUG was in town with his family. He came over and visited with us for a while. It was good to see him and we stayed up pretty late talking about the "old days". It's crazy to see how much we have all grown since we first met.

We took our 2013 Easter Bunny picture at the Baybrook mall. I was sure this was the year she was going to cry. Instead, she saw the Bunny & said "Mommy I sit on Bunny". Thankful for another successful year!

I met up with my mom on Monday. My parents were going to watch Addison for a couple of days while Cameran & I went to a Maroon 5 concert.
Here are some pictures from Addison's trip to Gigi & Poppy's.

One of Addison's favorite things is to "jump with Gigi". Addison calls my mom AND my sister Gigi & I am not sure why. She knows my sister's name, but it is hilarious because it drives my sister crazy!

Another favorite at Gigi & Poppy's is spending time at the pond & feeding the ducks. My mom & Addison had a picnic at the pond, flew a kite, & fed the ducks. They also checked out the duck eggs! Hopefully they will get a chance to hatch. It would be so fun with baby duckys running around the pond.

I have only been out to fed the ducks once, but Addison has been several times. One time the ducks came right up to her and she could of hand fed them if she wanted too. I am so glad she is an animal lover. It has been so fun.

They also had a small incident. I thought it was pretty funny, but it freaked out my mom. Addison stuck a corn kernel up her nose.

We went to see Owl City, Neon Trees, & Maroon 5 Tuesday night with Arin. Owl City was disappointing and Neon Trees was okay, but Maroon 5 was amazing! I'd love to see them again.

I'll wrap up today's post with Adam Levine. <3

Spring Break Randoms

Sadly, we had to leave Surfside Beach. Cameran had to go back to work so Addison & I settled for the next best thing...POOL TIME! She was ecstatic to go swimming and to get a chance to play with her Rapunzel diving toys she's been eying all winter.

The water was REALLY chilly, but she still wanted to stay and play. I'm sure as soon as it warms up we will be back quite often.
Blowing bubbles! (Sorry, its the Swim Instructor in me!)
Addison & her "Swimming Glasses"
We stayed at the pool for about an hour, but it was getting pretty cold. She was sad to leave and told the pool "Bye Water. I love you." Yup. She is definitely my child.

On Thursday, we went over to Mishell & Katie's house for a playdate. It was a nice day so we took the girls to the backyard.
Avery, Sarah, & Addison.
We had to be referees most of the time. Two year olds are so much fun, especially my little stinker. I use to worry that she'd get run all over, but that is NOT the case at all, at least not anymore.

Playhouse outside is so much fun!
Friday we had a low-key morning. We spent most of the day walking Bear & playing on the patio.
We even found a baby lizard on the outside of the window. Addison loves lizards and he stuck around our window for quite a while. She will still go back to the same spot and ask for him.
Hope all of your enjoyed your Spring Break!

Beach House

Sunday we headed to Surfside Beach for a couple of days. My family and some family friends always stay in a beach house together for Spring Break. We usually stay for a few days with them as they vacation. This year it was the Smiths, Striblings, Crawford/Kehlenbecks, Meyers, and the Strodes.

The first two days it was really windy and the water was SO cold. I was surprised Addison willingly went in!

Kelsey, Morgan, & I took her too far out and we ended up scaring her. The waves were really strong from the wind and they would knock her down. She wasn't as willing to run back in the water afterwards, but its okay because I really didn't want to go back in the cold water either!

Warming up by the Fire after a quick swim in the Ocean!
Addison would play and play in the water & sand. As soon as she was ready to head back to the beach house she would start walking back by herself. We'd catch up and rinse her off and she would go straight into the house, up the stairs, right for Jenna's bed. Jenna had a cozy little set up in a corner with a TV. It was away from most of the distractions and she would start watching a movie and relax and then want to head back out.

Addison & Jenna enjoying a movie.

Morgan & Addison headed to the Beach!
The day we headed home was beautiful! It was nice and warm and made for a perfect beach day. We even had a great picnic lunch with my mom and sister! The boys went Deep Sea Fishing for the day.

Addison's favorite thing about the beach was playing in the sand. She really enjoyed making Sand Castles. After we finished the Castles she would say "Wreck It!" & knock them down. Someone's been watching too much Wreck It Ralph!

Our Beach House is the one on the far left.

There were a group of people riding horses along the beach. The leader of the group saw Addison and turned around and let her check out the horse. It was sweet and she loved it!

We had a great time and I already miss all of the company. It was a fun group and we even made a Harlem Shake video. Be sure to check it out! (:

Frobergs

We kicked off Spring Break with Strawberry Picking at Frobergs in Alvin. We went last year & had a blast so I was excited to take Addison again this year.

They let you re-use your buckets from the past year & then you only have to pay for the berries you pick. We ended up picking just under 5 pounds and they were delicious.

Addison wasn't as great of a "picker" as she was last year. She only wanted to pick all of the "yellow-green" ones.

Near the end, she got the hang of it and wanted to hold the bucket herself.
We met Uncle Feller, Aunt Vicky, Alli & Tony there and we decided to make this a yearly tradition. Its relaxing, fun and not to mention you get a bucket full of yummy strawberries!

We took our filled bucket to the beach house and by the second day they were all gone. I guess that just gives us an excuse to make another trip! (:

After we finished picking, we headed to Uncle Feller & Aunt Vicky's for dinner!
